4 months old and ready to move

Jeanelle: This week Evan turned 4 mos old. At his doctor's appt he weighed 16 lbs and was 26 inches long - he's in the 89 percentile in weight and 98 percentile in height - Yes, he's big! It seems like each day he does something new. He's sitting up very well now with our help and he's still working on rolling over. Another big accomplishment for Evan is that he is able to fit both fists in his mouth - he seems to greatly enjoy this ability. The doctor gave us clearance to begin trying "solids." We'll probably start rice cereal during my spring break, which by the way is only two weeks away!!

Jeff: Not only that, but we're now starting to get into the craziness of getting our condo ready to put on the market and begin showing. All of Evan's things are taking over our small space and we need a house. It's amazing how much junk you can aquire in such a short time. I wish we could hire someone else to do this, I'm tired!

Jeanelle:
Sometimes it feels that with each new thing we finish in the condo we find ten more things that need work - or cleaning, Wow there's a lot to clean! We've had and will have a lot of help though. My mom and her husband are going to help us paint, which is a huge load off our shoulders. My Dad has replaced our sinks and is going to help us fix the carpet problem our cat created. Morgan was even gracious enough to offer to help us clean, thank you!! Evan is amazing, but he's a real barrier to getting stuff done. Everything with a baby takes ten times longer to do, and this is definitely no exception.

Jeff: Correction: the damage Jeanelle's cat created. It's funny how when you get married what's yours is mine and what's mine is yours. You'd think that there was a strange foreign rodent living among us with the way Jeanelle ignores Elliott, her cat. I guess that when Evan arrived, survival of the cutest took over, and Elliott was the loser. If it wasn't for me, we'd probably find her curled up dead in the garage somewhere. Poor Elliott.

Jeanelle:
I don't think it's that bad...Anyway, we still have a lot of work to do on the condo and not much time. Our goal is to list the condo by the first of April. We really want to be in a house by the time he starts crawling - we've already found some houses that we like, but we need to dump ours first! Wish us luck!!
