The Meet and Greet

Since Sunday was such a fabulously warm day, we took a walk to our neighborhood park. The warm weather brought out all of our neighbors as well, and it was our first opportunity to meet many of them. Our edition is filled with families, and it was so fun to see everyone out in their yards. I met a few moms and got the dish on the neighborhood pool. I hope Evan enjoys the water because I think we'll be spending a lot of our time there (it even has a kiddie pool.) I might even get to experience the rare phenomenon known to others as a tan!!

Attempting to "get connected," I also stepped out of my comfort zone and offered to help plan our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. We plan on staying here a long time, and we want to do all the things we didn't do in our old neighborhood...you know, like saying hi to our neighbors instead sneaking back inside when we see them. I guess I'll be getting a crash course this weekend while I'm handing out flyers, that I made my husband design and probably also help deliver...he needs community too right!

hopefully your neighbors won't yell at you for mowing part of their yard for them!

Good for you! I wish we had neighbors that talked! :)

That is great...it seems like our immediate neighbors are all older, so if you meet some cool people, maybe you could find a way to introduce me :-) Have fun handing out fliers!
