Tell me you've done this before...

This morning I had a craving for chocolate milk, and not just any chocolate milk, my favorite - Nesquik! But, apparently I was a complete space cadet last night, because this is what I found when I went looking for it.

It was practically full too! I was so mad. When I couldn't find it in the refrigerator, I knew what I'd done. Then it was just a matter of retracing my steps - I really don't enjoy trying to think like me!

We made a lot of progress on our hot mess of a yard this weekend, but I think I need to retract my earlier statement about it being full of "trees, sticker bushes, and dead limbs." "Sticker bushes, poison ivy, and more sticker bushes," would have been a more accurate description. We'll probably have to rent a wood chipper, because hauling away a yard full of thorns doesn't sound like much fun. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, even after the fence goes in, but it will be worth it - I'm imagining many years of fort building back there in "them woods!"

I've done that before. Really.

Back in the day, I used to work in cubeland, far from the kitchen. I went to grab my milk a little bit before I was going to leave for the day because I didn't want to forget. I stuck it up in my cabinet so people wouldn't wonder why I had a jug of milk sitting on my desk. Then I forgot about it. Until the following Monday, that is, when I smelled something awful the second I neared my cube. The jug had exploded. Good times.

I have done that with ice cream before, luckily I just put it in the fridge instead of the freezer, but its a deadly sin to waste ice cream!

Have I DONE that before? Oh yeah. All the time. Crackers in the freezer, ice cream in the fridge. These days, mental notes for doctor's appts and otherwise no longer suffice, either. If I am actually going to DO something, it has to be written, highlighted, and be paid full attention. Baby brain.
