We finally got a sandbox for Evan. The craigslist deal fell through, but I've continued to look and my mom's kept her eyes out at garage sales (she's crazy for garage sales and the topic would deserve at least a series of posts, but I'm not going there.) Anyway, she found one yesterday, and it's exactly what I wanted, with an umbrella, and $20 cheaper than the one on Craigslist - perfect! We loaded it up with sand and Evan thought it was the best thing ever! It's a little messy I suppose, but Evan's habitual splash in the pool before going inside takes care of most the mess.Jeff had a good time in the sandbox as well. He builds a pretty mean sandcastle! And on that note, Happy Father's Day to all you Dads!
Congratulations to the newest dad and mom we know, Tony and Leah!! They had a beautiful baby girl this week.

I'm scared to buy a sandbox because of the mess factor, but it sure would be fun to play in one. For me, of course. I don't think Alexis would be all that into it since she's a dirt hater.
