So that's why public restrooms are so gross!

We've stepped up our potty training game, which means taking him to the potty while out in public. I'm not going to lie - I hate this, but there's no way around it, I guess. Personally, I'll do anything to avoid those cesspools, but when you're a toddler, and you gotta go - you gotta go.

We got him one of those portable fold-up seats that fit on the toilet, because he's still freaked out by the big toilet. He's doing a great job, for the most part. He'll go in with us, sit on his seat, and pee. However, it's where he's peeing that's the problem. Apparently there's a sweet spot on his fold-up seat that we have NOT found. Which means, 50% of the time, he pees all over the floor. I really don't get it. I make sure he's tucked, but it doesn't seem to matter. To be fair, those seats are kind of awkward, so I guess we're still working out the kinks.

Depending on the pre-existing cleanliness of the bathroom, sometimes I'll clean it up, but if it's already gross, um, I don't think so. The first time that happened, and I had to leave it that way, I thought, "wow, all this time it's been toddler boys making public restrooms so disgusting!"

Ha ha! My boys sure have done their fair share of adding to the grossness of many public bathrooms ;) You are right, there's no escaping it!

Again, so not something I am looking forward to! Yuck! Poor Barrett wants to use the potty so bad, but I'm just not ready! He's probably not, either, just wants to do want his big sisters are doing.
