10 Months And Definitely Walking

Evan has been taking steps for a while, but I'd say he's really walking now. Our condo is a little small for him to reach his full potential, but when he has open space he can walk the distance of the living room. This morning he was sitting on the floor and just stood up and started walking. Of course, he's still very wobbly, but if it's anything like his crawling career, I'll be chasing him around in no time! These pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea...

I went to South Bend with my college friends for a double baby shower yesterday and had a lot of fun while Jeff stayed home with Evan for some father/son bonding. It's so weird to see baby things and realize that Evan doesn't use or wear any of them anymore. Times like those make me think about having our second, but that's still a ways off!

Jeff said that yesterday Evan almost ate a bug. He'll find things on the carpet sometimes and I'll call his name to make sure he doesn't put them in his mouth. He'll look at me as if to say, "whose reflexes are faster, mine or yours?" Then he'll clamp his mouth shut like he really has to have whatever he just put in there. Luckily, this time Jeff won that battle!
