Happy Birthday Evan

Today is Evan's 1 year birthday! We woke him up this morning with a small present - his own set of toy keys. I suppose this is more of a baby present, but he is completely obsessed with our keys and this set looks kind of real, so we thought he'd like it.

I don't have any pictures for this post because our apartment was robbed yesterday and they took our camera and computer. They also took one of Jeff's guitars. The stuff we can replace with insurance, but there was a lot of financial info on our computer, plus the last couple months of Evan's pictures. Thank God for the blog. I usually post my favorite pics, so at least we have those. We've been busy canceling cards and calling the credit bureaus - it's all a
little overwhelming.

We've both been really upset that it happened the day before Evan's birthday. Not that he knows the difference really, but this isn't how I envisioned this day going. Luckily his real "celebration" is this weekend at my mom's and we'll have at least replaced our camera by then.

As if there's not enough going on right now, we're also in the process of placing an offer on a house. Don't get your hopes up though, it's a house that doesn't have everything we want so we've made a very low offer to compensate. We'll be happy if we get it, but not devastated if we don't.

Our friend Carin let us borrow her camera so I did take a picture of Evan when we woke him up this morning...eventually I'll post those and more about his birthday.

Happy Birthday Evan!!!

Oh my, I'm so sorry about the apartment that is really scary and just stinks for the inconvenience. I'm really going to be paranoid now. I hope the house works out so you can have a place that doesn't have this memory :(
