My new obsession

I have found THE way to shop for jeans - eBay. Obviously, eBay has been around for a while, and I've shopped for things here and there, but the other day I took the leap and bid on a pair of jeans. I know right, how could you buy a pair of jeans without trying them on first?

I'm very particular about the way my jeans fit, and I refuse to pay more than $25 for a pair of jeans. It's really hard for me to find a pair that fit well, especially in that price range. As a result, I really hate shopping for jeans. I hate being crammed into a dressing room with 5 pairs, hoping one of them will fit right, only to come out empty handed and feeling defeated.

On eBay the stress is completely eliminated. The first pair I won were Banana Republic, and I only paid $12 for them. I have to admit that I didn't like them very well. But, here's the thing, I'm going to turn around and resell them. Since then, I've started doing my research. I've been finding really expensive jeans that are supposed to fit my body type and then I look for them on eBay. If I can get them for $20 or less, I go for it.

I gotta say, surfing the internet is way more fun than being in front of a wall of mirrors in jeans that are too tight. I'm currently bidding on a pair of $100+ jeans that I'm really excited about and I'll be getting two pairs this week that were originally $70 jeans. We'll see if they fit, but if not, I can always resell them and try again! I love eBay!

Watch out this can be very addictive! I got burned a few times on things not fitting very well and then I wasn't able to sell them again. I have a pair of Mavi's in my closet that I have tried to sell twice...if I lost 30 pounds they might fit haha. Have fun shopping!

if you change your mind and want to do store-bought, there's a place here in town called In Seam. The owner is so cool and super nice. Her jeans are expensive, but she has helped me find some that fit my body type the best, tells me her honest opinion about what looks good, and is patient w/ me as i try several pairs on. Also, they come long, and she will measure your length for you and then gets them altered for free. and since she's a small business owner, i like to give my support to her

Since the increase in fees to sellers, I'm not sure if any of your views have changes. However, there is a new alternative to Ebay for those who are looking for a new online marketplace!
