"So, you were off for two and a half weeks, what do you have to show for it?" Well, blog, that's an excellent question. I cleaned out our junk closet, obtained a few awesome new pairs of jeans, successfully completed all holiday activities, sort of planned this year's family vacation, did a whole lot of nothing, oh, and mostly potty trained my two year old son.
It's true, the first few days were excruciating, and we'd pretty much just exchanged diapers for loads of laundry, but by last weekend it had started to click and since then he's done a great job. We've had a few speed bumps this week with my going back to work. He completely took advantage of my mom and didn't use the potty a single time while she was here on Tuesday. We went straight to underwear when we started potty training, so putting him in pull-ups when others watch him allows for regression.
He's definitely not fully potty trained. I still have to set the timer, and if I let too much time go by, he'll have an accident. But, he pees on the potty every time I take him, and on rare occasions he'll tell us he has to go. We've only barely attempted taking our act on the road, but we'll get there. In the meantime, our downstairs bathroom smells distinctly like urine, so that's gross.
We had such a long time at home together, and it was really nice. Being home is great, but having Jeff home too makes it a real vacation. It wasn't really hard to go back to work on Tuesday, though. The school year is half over, and before I know it, summer will be here!

Sounds like you got a lot done. Awesome! Not so awesome about the urinal odour though. Ew. :)
If it helps any I tried with Seth at two hoping before Luke got here he would be potty trained. As you know I am not overly patient,lol! He really wasn't into it at first but slowly but surely he made it. As far as I know he still is ha ha at 20 you would hope right.
