It was perfect and so is she!

Here are some first looks at Aida Claire. She was born yesterday, June 2nd, at 2:43 pm, at 7lb 5oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Her birth went great! I was so worried about being induced, but it would seem that both me and her were ready and it went really smoothly. I got there around 6:45 am, at 3 centimeters. The doctor broke my water and started Pitocin around 7:30. I lasted a lot longer, pain wise, this time than with Evan, but decided on the epidural around 12:00. I was at a '9' on my pain scale compared with what I now know was more like a '6.5' with Evan. I think that must have been the Pitocin talking. I was ready to push by 2:15 and she was born less than half an hour later. That's a grand total of just over 7 hours. What an improvement from 24!!

Evan is coming to meet her soon, and we can't wait to see him interact with her! More pics to come!
