Suuuuper Genius...

Not sure why I didn't post anything this weekend, I guess I had nothing to say. We had two uneventful showings of our condo, so we spent some time cleaning. We actually had to extend our listing this week - it's been on the market for 6 months! At this point we have no hope of having Evan's first birthday in our new home. I had wanted to have his "party" in our backyard and invite family and friends. Now we'll just be doing a family get together at my mom's where there's space. For all of you friends and extended members of Evan's family, know that he would have wanted to invite you :-)

He's more amazing everyday! I can't believe that he's almost a year old. It's gone by so fast! I think this Sunday was his last week in the nursery. The nursery leader said he's starting to "run kids over!" I guess we'll be moving to the toddler room. He's starting to walk with a lot more confidence now and it's only a matter of time before he takes off running - that should be fun!

His play gets more purposeful each day too. He can stack legos, throw a ball back and forth, nest every toy on the floor, and with help can master the ring stacker. It's so awesome to watch his mind work. Today he started throwing one of his toys through the opening in the handle of his walker mobile - for some reason I thought this was genius!


I took these pictures this afternoon - the lighting was funky so I thought it would be fun to take some B&W's. You'll see his gray teddy bear in most of them - these days he loves to tote it around and I'm waiting to get that great walking shot with teddy bear in hand.
