Accomplishments

I finally took and uploaded pictures of the house. The den is still a mess because the doorway isn't quite finished. We had to build a custom piece for the gap between the floor and the wall and it's taken longer than expected. The den can't get put together until everything is finished, so it looks a little chaotic in there. Our room needs more stuff in it, but that will have to wait. We really love the potential in Evan's room and have a lot of ideas to make it cool once some of the baby furniture starts to evacuate. Overall, things are coming together in stride and everyday we learn a new lesson about home ownership!

I used the elliptical today during Evan's nap and made it a whole 15 minutes - I didn't have to stop as often either! It's getting easier, hopefully I can keep it up.

I went to the toddler group today and the facilitator seemed a little concerned that Evan still hasn't said his first word. Truthfully, so am I, but I just try not to think about it. I've decided that I'm not going to freak out until we go for his fifteen month check-up. "Come on Evan, you've got one more month to say mommy!" He's so verbal and jibber jabbers all the time, but he hasn't designated any words for specific items. However, today he did learn a new sign. He now knows and uses the sign for banana. He can also tell you the sounds a lion and hippo make - it's super cute. I don't know, I guess he's just not ready yet, and I have one more month until I have to start thinking it's anything else.

I love your dining table! The house looks great and I can't wait to see it in person. I was bummed we didn't make it to group, but we were all out of whack today...maybe next time!

everything looks good! don't worry about evan, he'll come around. you can tell he wants to talk, & some kids just take a while, but then they end up being the most talkative later.

The house looks awesome!! I'm sure Evan will start talking before you know it and then you'll wonder why you ever worried about it ;)

If he can sign and get what he wants why talk ? Just something for you to consider.
