I'm officially on Spring Break and will be for the next week and a half. I love how school breaks always seem to come at just the right time. I don't have a lot planned for this break, because I need to get some things done! We've got a few play dates lined up, Jeff will be home one of the days, and I might take Evan out to my Mom's. Besides that, I'll be tackling my to do list!
First on the list: finish the ton of blog posts I've recently started but not gotten far enough to post. If you're thinking I haven't done any blogging these last two weeks, you're wrong. Half-blogging is still blogging! One of those posts is the one announcing baby girl's name. But there are one or two ahead of it and I must go in order!
The other major item on my list is finishing my next set of recipes. That's been the plan on my last 4 off days, but somehow I always end up spending my free time napping. I swear that I have no idea how it happens. One minute I'm motivated to get working, and the next I'm dead asleep. The good news is that they're mostly done. I have a couple weeks left of recipes to enter, shopping lists to compile, and then some proofing (which seriously, why do I even bother with that part,) and then it's up to Jeff to make them pretty. My self-imposed deadline is the Monday after Spring Break. That will require less napping, and more working! Hmm....
Above all else, I need to make quality time with Evan a big priority. The days of it being just me and him are quickly coming to an end, and I think I take them for granted. This means I'll be playing endless amounts of pretend super-hero games, even when I don't feel like it, which is most of the time. That batcave we bought him 2 years ago sure has earned its keep. Between that and his comic book loving Father, Evan knows more about superheroes than any 3 year old should ever need to know. Even the obscure ones! But that's what he loves to play, so I'll need to put on my imagination hat and play along!
What am I looking forward to the most about Spring Break, besides the QT with Evan of course? Those 15 extra minutes that I get to sleep in each morning!!
Happy literal and figurative Spring Break to everyone, because like GOB says, it's one of the holidays!
