We took Aida to the doctor yesterday for her one month appointment. She weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and was 22 inches long. She's in the 25-50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. I was just looking back through the blog for Evan's statistics, he weighed 11 lbs at his one month appointment. Little Aida is much more petite than her brother!
I didn't document those early days with Evan in quite as much detail as I would have liked, but it's nice to read the posts for reference. For instance, at this age, Evan had almost the exact same sleep pattern. One thing that is definitely different is that with Evan we were already preparing to move him into his room and did so at 6 weeks. Jeff and I have talked about how we think this will happen much later with Aida. Breastfeeding is going to delay that milestone for us, but that's ok. With Evan we were ready, but we're not yet with Aida.
Because of the holiday, all of our regular activities are canceled this week. I'm going to have to get creative with ways to keep Evan busy! First up - a trip to the pool with friends!

You might be surprised. We moved Leah to her room in the crib at about 6 weeks, b/c we started waking each other up and with me being so close if she was awake enough and smelled me (the milk) then she wanted to eat. Where if she was in her own room she went longer spans of time. That was just our experience, nothing wrong with keeping her close for a longer period of time.
