Rainy Day

Thursday was the yuckiest day of vacation. It was cold and rainy, but I found this great playroom in Holland and it was the perfect solution for a rainy day. It focuses on early childhood development and it has everything! There was a music room, an art room, a sensory room, a stage with costumes, a building station, a "store," a huge play house, a "bank," a "road" with walk along toys, and much more. The kids had a great time and we almost forgot that we weren't able to go to the beach!

Evan's favorite by far was the music room because it had a full keyboard. He went straight for it and I had to talk him into trying other things because he loved it so much. He also spent a lot of time conducting serious business at the bank, transferring money from one account to another, and assisting the bank's patrons. Aida, meanwhile, got a kick out of just about everything. And speaking of Aida, she chose vacation and practically her 13th month of life to start crawling. She still won't crawl more than a few "steps" before going back to her scoot, but at least we know she can do it. But, what can we say? She knows what she likes.
